Karen Deierhoi is a financial executive with over 17 years of financial management and reporting experience. Ms. Deierhoi provides leadership over client development and client relationship management as well as supporting all operations of BlackWood.
Ms. Deierhoi has extensive experience in financial reporting and consolidation; SEC reporting and compliance; Board of Directors presentations; strategic financial planning and analysis; cash flow forecasting; budgeting and capital planning; process improvement and re-engineering; ratio management and key indicators analysis; internal controls review; relations with bankers and auditors; coordination of special projects; and staff development, training and team building.
Ms. Deierhoi brings ten years of experience in public accounting at Ernst & Young, where she worked with public and private companies in the manufacturing, retail, health care, not-for-profit and venture capital industries. Ms. Deierhoi also brings to our team her experience as the corporate controller of a $50 million, multi-location organization where, amongst other responsibilities, she managed the shared finance and accounting services for its 19 locations.
Ms. Deierhoi is a CPA in the state of North Carolina and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Deierhoi frequently conducted accounting and audit training courses at Ernst & Young and participated in the firm’s leadership development program. She has served in advisory roles for several local not-for-profit organizations and is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs.
